Integrated Rehabilitation Group is a private physical and hand therapy practice established in the mid-1990s. It already had internal IT capability, and the goal was never to replace it.
The challenge
A small internal team can cover the day-to-day well, but it cannot reasonably hold deep expertise in every area a healthcare practice now needs, from cybersecurity to compliance to cloud infrastructure. Hiring for all of it is not realistic; going without it is a risk.
What we did
We set up a co-managed arrangement. The internal team kept ownership of the systems and relationships it knew best, and we supplied specialist capability where depth was needed, along with cover for peaks and absences.
- Co-managed model that supports rather than displaces internal IT
- Specialist cybersecurity and compliance expertise on call
- Protection appropriate to patient information
- Escalation support so the internal team is never on its own
The result
The practice gets enterprise-grade expertise without giving up the institutional knowledge its own team holds, and its internal staff have somewhere to turn when a problem exceeds the scope of one person.
